“Trust in the Lord with all your heart,

And lean not on your own understanding;

In all your ways acknowledge Him,

And He shall direct your paths.”

~ Proverbs 3:5-6 (NKJV)

Most Christians can quote these verses by memory. But how much do you actually trust in the Lord? Do you trust Him enough to surrender and let go of your past hurts? Do you trust that He will guide your path to healing?

Trust is not only surrendering your current circumstances, it’s surrendering your past and future to Him also. You have to be willing to let go of what previously defined you. If you were deeply wounded or were a victim of abuse, you need to begin to press in to the promises of God. Let Him help define who you are now and who He wants you to become. You are a daughter of the King, an heir of Christ. You are worthy to be loved by a Father who gives unending and unconditional love. You are precious to Him. He wants you to become a confident, healed woman of God.

Trust Him with all your heart. He will never forsake you. “And the Lord, He is the One who goes before you. He will be with you, He will not leave nor forsake you; do not fear nor be dismayed” (Deuteronomy 31:8 NKJV).
